About the name
Pater (PAY-ter) is Latin for “Father”, the first word of the Lord’s Prayer in Latin, “Pater noster”. When Jesus taught us to pray, He began with “Our Father” (Matthew 6:9), and that is where we want every page of this app to point. Classical Latin sounds closer to “PAH-ter”, while English speakers usually say “PAY-ter”. Both are right, and we’ll know who you mean.
